Social Kitchen & Bar – New Downtown Grand Rapids Restaurant

There’s a new restaurant and bar opening next week! Located in the downtown market, Social Kitchen & Bar has a gritty urban feel thanks to the decor scavenged from old houses and factories. Plans for the restaurant were announced more than a year ago, and the 140-seat, casual dining restaurant is set to open Monday, April 18, after a two day invitation only soft opening.

This new hang out will fill the last large open space located in the downtown market on 435 Ionia Ave. SW. The 2-1/2 year-old market is a favorite of Grand Rapids, and features 25 food vendors and eateries, including Slows Bar BQ, which opened last fall. The restaurant will be open for lunch on Monday-Friday from 11 AM to 4 PM. Brunch will be from 10 AM to 3 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Dinner will be served from 4 PM to 9 PM Monday through Tuesday from 4 PM to 10 PM on Wednesday and Thursday, and 4 PM to 11 PM on Friday and Saturday. Reservations and open seating will be available. The bar will have happy hour from 4 PM to 6 PM
